Alliant International University/Global Daigaku.com 2002 Essay Contest

¡þ Award Amount
Grand Prize:1 full, one-year scholarship (including tuition, room and board) for undergraduate study at
Alliant International University's San Diego campus.
Other Prizes:up to 25 partial tuition scholarships ranging from $1,000 and $5,000 applicable to the first
year of either undergraduate or graduate study at Alliant International University's San Diego campus.
¡þ Deadline Date
Essays must be submitted online through the Global Daigaku.com web site before April 30, 2002.
¡þ Description
The Global Daigaku.com / Alliant International University 2002 Essay Competition is open to all students
in Japan, considering full-time degree studies at Alliant International University. Students must write an
essay in English between 200-500 words on the theme: "Why I want to attend Alliant International
University."
¡þ Eligibility Rules
- Essays, in English, should be between 200-500 words in length.
- Students must currently reside in Japan, and be applying/have applied to the San Diego campus of Alliant International
University for the Fall 2002 entry period.
- ¡¡
- Students must meet the admission requirements of Alliant International University.
- If a student is lacking the necessary English Language Requirement, the scholarship may be
deferred until their first year of full-time study, provided the student successfully completes Alliant
International University's EAP (English for Academic Purposes) Program.
- Students must complete the Global Daigaku.com registration form and submit their essay online
before April 30, 2002.
¡þ Additional Information
- Essays will be judged by a panel selected by Global Daigaku.com. To ensure fairness, contact details
of applicants will be omitted from contest entries in advance of their review.
- Contest winners will be notified by May 17, 2002.
- All contest entries will become property of Global Daigaku.com and Alliant International University,
including the right to edit, translate, and publish them at a later date.
- Scholarship winners agree to have their names and photos published for promotional purposes.
- Scholarships must be accepted as offered, and may not be exchanged, transferred, or renewed.

¡þ About Alliant International University
