Master of Laws (LLM) Programs

IE Business School's commitment to business education extends to the legal sector through its Master of Law degree programs for executives and in international legal practice.
Master of International Legal Practice
The main objective of the Master of International Legal Practice is to train lawyers with a global perspective, who are able to add value in complex international transactions, providing top-quality legal advice and services with an awareness of business issues and the highest standards of professional ethics.
This program is divided into two tracks: one English Version (which includes an
internship with a Spanish firm before the start of the program), and one
bilingual Spanish/English version. The bilingual track treats the same issues as
the English version but from the perspective of the Spanish lawyer. Both
programs feature the same international outlook which is complimented by IE”Ēs
international campus..
Executive LLM
Two of the world's leading law and business schools, Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago and the IE Business School (Instituto de Empresa) in Madrid, offer a program that combines an education in Anglo-American common law and its application in European practice with business fundamentals of accounting, finance and strategy.
Intended for lawyers with a civil-law background who are already in practice but seek additional knowledge and skills in business and the common law, the program offers participants the chance to obtain a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Northwestern University School of Law in partnership with IE Business School, and the certificate in Business Administration awarded by IE. |

Admissions Process
|
The admissions process is the same for both LLM programs, with variations on the number of years of work experience required, the entrance exam requirements, and the academic requirements:

Bachelor's degree in any subject for the Executive LLM; a law degree for the Master of International Legal Practice.

No prior professional experience is required for the Master of International Legal Practice, although it does contribute to your application The Executive LLM requires at least three years in a management position.

Application form + 2 letters of recommendation + 2 essays

GMAT, LSAT, or IE Admission Test (not required for the Executive LLM)

Personal Interview

Students whose native language is not English must submit a TOEFL score (260) or an equivalent certificate.

IE also offers renowned MBA programs in international business, for the executive as well as the graduate. IE also offers both full-time and online Masters programs in
management with a number of specializations for the recent graduate and the experienced executive.
Complementing IE's postgraduate and executive Master's programs is an additional stream of services to meet the specific training needs of managers and corporate leaders at any stage during their career.
