Since 1980 the Language Centre has been providing outstanding English instruction to students from all over the world. Our students say they are very happy with the courses and activities offered. Approximately half of our students are preparing to continue into degree studies at the university, so each course has a strong focus on language learning. Graduates from our Intensive English Advanced Level can enter more than 100 University of Saskatchewan degree programs without further English testing. Many students have developed lifelong friendships with classmates, teachers and homestay families. Saskatoon has a population of approximately a quarter of a million people. Our city offers all of the features of city life in a beautiful, safe, friendly setting along the South Saskatchewan River. The University of Saskatchewan is a major medical-doctoral university. It also has one of the most beautiful campuses in Canada.

Each full-time course offers great features including:

• an average of 20 hours of instruction each week during the 10 week term
• small classes averaging 14 students with weekly tutorials
• intensive English program starts in January, March, June and October
• excellent communicative teaching by university-trained ESL specialists
• weekly recreational and cultural activities average 5 hours per week
• access to all University facilities (athletic complex, library, health services) and athletic events
• optional homestay with a friendly Canadian family are available (private room, 3 meals a day, airport pickup included)
• free internet, e-mail and use of the special Language Centre library and computer lab
• free placement testing to assure students are in the most suitable level
• free assistance to register for no-cost Saskatchewan health insurance for those holding a Study Permit
