The Master of International Management (MIM) program at Portland State University's School of Business Administration has been granting AACSB accredited degrees in international
business with a focus on Asia and the Pacific Rim since 1996.
As a future leader in international business, it is critical to understand more than general business theory. With this in mind, our MIM degree includes studies in international relations, cross-cultural communications and foreign languages. You may find many of the MIM classes similar to those found in a MBA program; however, the MIM program places an emphasis on international management from a cross-cultural perspective with an integrated approach to learning.
Our international management curriculum is broken down into four areas: international business courses (13), cultural affairs courses (3), foreign language courses (either Chinese or Japanese) and a three week field study trip to Asia. In addition, each student must take part in an exit project and has the option to specialize in one of the following areas: Global Supply Chain Management, Global Marketing and Global Business and Sustainability.
