Students First
Algoma U is committed to placing you, the student, first. This focus reaches to the
classroom and beyond. Our professors encourage interaction, discussion, and independent
thought in the classroom. The faculty are known for open-door policies that ensure you
get the support guidance, and mentoring you need, even when class is over.
Smaller Class Size
University is about more than listening and taking notes – it is about getting involved,
taking part in discussions and research. Our small class size (average size: 25 students)
fosters the active learning experience. As an Algoma U student, you will have the opportunity
to be heard. Smaller classes mean that you will get to know your fellow students as well.
Whether you are looking for a study group or asking for advice, personal connections you
will make are invaluable.
Community Spirit
Algoma U is a community over 1200 students – learning, thinking and growing together.
Our university is large enough to offer great diversity, with more than 25 degree

that is just right for you.
