A Growing Campus |
| A large scale building programme has been
embarked upon in response to growth in student numbers and in research activity.
As a result the there are now major enhancements in the teaching, research and
recreational facilities of the University. A new state-of-the-art, multi-purpose
indoor Sports Centre with 25m swimming pool opened in 2001. A modern campus has
emerged around the beautiful stone-faced quadrangle, pleasantly combining early
and modern architecture along a riverside garden setting close to the city
