Our school was
founded on the desire to utilize The Montessori Method of education to positively impact children's lives while
inspiring their social and educational development.
 Maria Montessori used the analogy that a child's young mind is similar to a sponge in that it is
eager to soak up knowledge. In an appropriate environment children have a natural desire to learn,
and do so in a positive and enjoyable way. At Montessori Friends we provide this environment of
appropriate activities at the appropriate stage of development.
Our teachers are the medium through which your child is introduced to the Montessori Environment.
By observing and responding to the individual needs of each child the teacher can provide activities
that stimulate both discovery and development. Every student is treated with respect and is offered constant encouragement.
It is in this environment that we endeavor to make your child's first educational experience not only a pleasant one,
but one that leads to continued success in an International or Japanese atmosphere.
We have an open door policy and parents are welcome to observe at anytime with prior notice.

We offer a fully equipped Montessori
classroom with centers concentrating on math, practical life, language, science, culture, art, music, dance, and computer
technology. Every month we will incorporate a theme into each of our centers. As well we have a spacious and safe play
area for outdoor activities.
 We are conveniently located close to three neighborhood parks where we may go for various nature activities and outings.
We also have special classes for pottery, Ikebana and tea ceremony.
We encourage our parents to become involved. If you have any special skills or would like to read a story, etc. please let us know.

We offer program options of any combination of two, three,
or five days a week on a per term basis. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
