The University of Southern Indiana is located in Evansville, Indiana, the state's third largest city.
Located on the banks of the mighty Ohio River, the city has long been the cultural and economic center
of the region. As a USI student, you will be living in one of "America's Safest Cities" according to
Money magazine. The Evansville metropolitan area is home to approximately 300,000 residents.
USI offers a suburban atmosphere with inviting walkways and grassy, tree-lined spaces. Academic
buildings, administrative offices, and the University Center are located west of the main drive.
University housing is situated on the northeast and south sides of the campus within walking
distance of all campus buildings. Free shuttle buses run from housing to the center of campus.
Evansville is a comfortable drive to major metropolitan areas such as Indianapolis, Cincinnati,
Louisville, Nashville and St. Louis.

The University of Southern Indiana offers 60 major fields of study. Students enroll in one of five schools -
Business, Education and Human Services, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Professions, and Science and Engineering Technology.
The business school is accredited by AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
USI offers baccalaureate engineering technology programs accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Students get hands-on experience in the Scripps Howard Center for Media Studies preparing students for careers
in advertising, computer publishing, radio and television, and public relations.

USI is a state-assisted, four-year university in Evansville, Indiana, founded in 1965 with over
10,000 students from Indiana, 32 states and 33 countries. The University of Southern Indiana

Residence Life |
USI offers two kinds of housing through the Residence Life program. One is the conventional
apartment and the other is suite-style housing in residence halls.
Each traditional apartment offers a kitchen, dining area, living room, two bathrooms, and two
bedrooms. These apartments are fully furnished and include full-size refrigerator and stove.
You and your apartment-mates will access your apartment from exterior corridors.
The residence halls offer two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living space, and - instead of a
complete kitchen - a snack area with sink, under-counter refrigerator, and cupboards. All
students in the residence halls participate in the meal plan available in the University Center.
The residence halls have a central entrance and reception area. You and your apartment-mates
will access your apartment from interior corridors.
No matter which housing style you choose, you have these benefits:

The Robert J. Fair Residence Life Center has computers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
