Between Oct. 22 and Nov. 5, the Canadian Education Alliance will be
holding Study in Canada Fairs throughout Japan. Representatives from
Canadian universities, colleges, community colleges, high schools and
language schools will be on hand at all eight fairs to introduce their
institutions. (Translators will be available.) In addition, there will be
briefing sessions for guests, special goods available and a chance to win a
free trip to Canada. This will not only be an ideal opportunity to learn
more about Canada and the educational opportunities available there, but
also a chance to strengthen ties between Japanese and Canadian sister cities.

The U.S. Embassy's Commercial Service in Japan and the Japan-United
States Educational Commission are holding the 2005 U.S. University Fairs
in Tokyo, Nagoya and Kobe jointly with co-sponsorship from the Manufactured
Imports and Investment Promotion Association, the Nagoya International
Center, and Hyogo International Association. Representatives from about 50
regionally accredited two-year and four-year colleges, universities, and
graduate schools in the United States will exhibit in Tokyo, and about 20
schools will exhibit in Nagoya and in Kobe. These representatives will be
available to speak with prospective students, and the students can not only
obtain the latest school brochures, but also have the chance to listen,
compare schools, and directly ask questions.
