Mathematics in Early Childhood Education Seminar
Dates: May 21, 2005
Time: 09:00 - 16:00
Venue: Tokyo Union Church (5-7-7 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo)
Success in mathematics in the early years is critical. Early
mathematics understanding has a profound effect on mathematical
proficiency in the later years. Research shows that a substantial base
of mathematical understanding is set in the child’s first few years.
A positive attitude towards mathematics, an understanding of key
concepts and mathematical skills can all be developed in the early
years. Therefore, the early childhood educator plays an extremely
influential and important role.
Participation fee is 25,000 yen (more than one educator per
institution: 20,000 yen) It includes preparatory work and reference
materials, refreshments, lunch, and completion certificate.
