東京芝浦のジャパンタイムズにて開催された「海外留学・キャリアフェア」

中学生から大学院生、社会人、定年退職された方、学校関係者など幅広い年齢層、職業の方がいらっしゃいました。
今回はスペイン、アメリカ、カナダ、オーストラリア、フィリピンからの学校が参加。

特に人気を集めたのは、やはりインターンシップが充実している学校やコース。
日本では珍しい「スポーツマネージメント」や「英語とデジタル映像」分野でのインターンシップの紹介もあり、皆さん真剣に相談されていました。

フェアの最後にはアメリカ、カナダ、フィリピンからの学校がそれぞれ抽選で無料体験留学をプレゼント。

Duisenberg School of Finance Special Master Class in Tokyo

On December 9, 2008, Global Daigaku.com cooperated with the Duisenberg School of Finance to deliver a Master Lecture on Financial Market Reforms and the current global financial challenges at the Tokyo Hilton Hotel.

Despite the rain, the Lecture was very well attended.

Professor Joseph McCahery, of the Duisenberg School of Finance, kicked off the evening schedule by introducing the school and the specific and unique courses and programmes that are offered:

   1. Master of Science in Financial Markets and Institutions
   2. LLM in Finance and Law
   3. Master of Science in Finance and Law
   4. Master of Science in Corporate Finance and Banking
   5. Master of Science in Risk Management
   6. M.Phil and Ph.D. programme in Finance

The Duisenberg School of Finance was established as a result of a partnership arrangement between the Dutch financial sector and to universities in the Netherlands to offer innovative and top quality education in the core areas of finance and risk management.

Professor Merritt Fox of Columbia School of Law then delivered an excellent overview of Financial Systems and the current challenges they are facing. Professor Gerard Hertig of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich presented on his views of the current global financial challenges and provided unique insights as to the causes.

Professor McCahery then provided some unique insights into the current financial problems in the U.S. and EU.

After a short break, a panel discussion with our three presenters, with Q&A with the Master Lecture attendees, was ably chaired by Professor Zenichi Shishido of the Seiki University Law School and contributed to by Robert Dujarric of the Institute of Contemporary Japanese Studies at Temple University Japan.
