The Global Daigaku Three-week Primer courses are designed for the following students:

  • Those who would like to try sample courses before moving along to Global Daigaku Three-month Preparatory courses;
  • Those who plan to go on to MBA and other professional degree programs;
  • Those who would like to try an online study course for the first time;
  • Those who plan to study overseas;
  • Those who have limited time to study but need these essential contents for work or study.

These Primer Courses have been designed and are taught by Global Daigaku expert lecturers. An outline of these courses follows:

The MBA Primer Course is designed for students who plan to enter MBA programs. It is designed to improve Business English composition skills, as this area is essential for successful study in English language MBA programs. This course is a good lead into the Global Daigaku three-month MBA preparatory courses.

The Business English Primer Course has been designed and is taught by renowned lecturer and trainer David Wagner. The Wagner Method for effective Business English communication is utilized and students will greatly benefit from this compact yet comprehensive approach.

 

The Pre-Study in U.S.A. Course has been designed for students who plan to study in the United States. Students will learn the most important basics of American society such as the history, geography, culture, economy and form of government. The course is delivered in English but has Japanese translations for key points. Tests after each week of study allow students to track their own progress. Also a specially prepared Global Daigaku.com “Study in USA handbook” that can be taken to the U.S. and used as a handy reference is included.

 

The Pre-Study in Canada Course has been designed for students who plan to study in Canada. Students will learn the most important basics of Canadian society such as the history, geography, culture, economy and form of government. The course is delivered in English but has Japanese translations for key points. Tests after each week of study allow students to track their own progress. Also a specially prepared Global Daigaku “Study in Canada handbook” that can be taken to Canada and used as a handy reference is included.

 

The IT Primer Course was designed and is taught by IT training expert Larry Healy and is aimed at students who wish to raise their overall level of IT understanding and is particularly appropriate for students who want to learn more about network systems. It is a good lead into the Three-month IT preparatory programs that are also taught at Global Daigaku by Larry Healy. This course is offered in both English and Japanese.
